What Does

NO CUTE REPS Mean?

The phrase, "No Cute Reps", was created by Head Coach, John, in 2019.

"I noticed people were lifting for social media, not for themselves. Their faces had to look 'cute' in each video. Angles had to be perfect. People did not want to be seen 'struggling' during their reps. I ended up saying 'NO CUTE REPS!' to everyone I trained. I train with pure intent. My training faces are ugly. They are chaotic. But there is a deep sense of joy behind them. I take joy in knowing I give 110% effort in every training session so I do not waste my own time." - John

"No Cute Reps" highlights the raw principle behind the results we all chase - INTENTION. We train intensely and efficiently. To make fitness a sustainable part of your life, it should become a NORMAL part of your day - not a 2-3 hour drawn out workout that you won't be able to keep up with. Socializing while lifting and trying to look "cute" for the camera is a huge disservice to you, your efforts, and your time.

We teach you to BUY BACK your time by training and eating with intent.

MEET THE TEAM

Founder/Head Coach:

John Rojas

Born in Bogota, Colombia

Raised in Baltimore, Maryland

John grew up in Baltimore playing competitive sports throughout high school at a national level. In 2015, he transitioned to Competitive Bodybuilding during his senior year of high school.

His first bodybuilding prep experience consisted of a very restrictive approach, which led to binging episodes after both of his shows in 2015. These lead to a significant, unhealthy weight gain and he learnt about the importance of having a healthy relationship with food. Upon graduating, he received his personal training certification through ACE (American Council on Exercise) and continued to work in a variety of commercial gyms, but was not keen on the personal training culture in a commercial setting.

In 2020, John started his independent practice out of his garage where he started training clients and selling "No Cute Reps" shirts. By 2021, John opened his own gym, Unity Fitness. The gym was meant to provide an all-inclusive environment where any level of fitness could feel welcomed and motivated (reference gym logo below). Throughout his personal training experience, he was also coaching clients through their nutritional habits, as well.

"There was a main difference between my in-person clients and my online nutrition clients. My in-person clients did not have enough time with me to learn how to sustain the results they achieved once they were done training. That is why I moved the business fully online. It allows me to teach my clients to be self-sufficient."

In late 2021, John moved his coaching fully online, and moved to San Diego, CA.

John is certified through NCI (Nutritional Coaching Institute), led by Jason Phillips, where he was educated on both men and women's hormonal functions, gut health, thyroid function, and mindset coaching. John has been personally mentored by some of the most accredited professionals in the fitness industry, including Jason Theobald (ScoobyPrep and Nuethix Formulations), Nick Komodina (Impakt Industries), and Justin Mihaly (Team Mihaly), to continue his education.

John is also certified through High Vibe Holistic in holistic breathwork practices, including Wim Hof, Alkaline, Pranayama, Kundalini Yoga, Holitropic, Transformational, and more.

John's mission is to transform as many lives as possible through sustainable and functional fitness practices in a world filled with fad diets and unhealthy trends.

Functional Health,

Gut & Hormone Coach:

Morgan Anthony

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland

Morgan grew up a high level, three-season athlete. In college, she developed a passion for fitness where she earned a Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology.

In 2017, she went on to get certified through one of the most accredited personal training organizations, NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). From there, she began her own physical transformation journey. Through growing her personal training business, she realized that her clients lacked the nutritional knowledge they needed to combine with the new training methods she was teaching.

She transitioned into the online coaching space in order to help her clients understand the importance of sustainability and functional health to reach their dream physique.

Morgan has continued her education through a Gut and Hormone Mentorship led by Nuethix Formulations owner and Functional Health Coach, Jason Theobald.
